Marine Life

Below is a small selection of some of the marine life that you’ll commonly see on a dive depending on where your go.

Wrecks usually have a Conger Eel or two hidden in them, shallow dives you’ll probably find a lot of crabs and some fish about. On deeper dives large shoals of fish are commonly seen, especially around wrecks.

On any dive you do there’ll always be plenty of colourful starfish, sponges, urchins and anemone around, especially in Strangford Lough. This is due to the tidal currents bringing in plenty of nutrients for them to feed on.
