Training Overview

Castlereagh Sub Aqua Club is a member of the British Sub Aqua Club.

BSAC has been training people to dive since the early 1950s. During this time the Diver Training Programme has been regularly updated and improved to keep pace with developments in equipment and diving knowledge. The programme is designed to build confidence and self-reliance, whilst keeping safety uppermost. BSAC qualifications are recognised all over the world, so they can be used at home and on your holidays.

Diving skills are taught progressively so that each new experience is built upon step by step. Following basic training in the safety of the swimming pool.

All diver training courses are delivered through the Castlereagh Sub Aqua Club, by our own qualified BSAC instructors over a series of evening pool and theory sessions. These are followed by weekend open water training usually in Strangford Lough. This keeps our costs low compared to other commercially run diver training organisations, so our training and diving costs considerably less.
